Services: The NICU provides advanced neonatal intensive care for critically ill infants and premature new-borns, up to 3 months of age. Our team coordinates all aspects of care for associated complications and conditions, including All aspects of care for the premature infant Major neurologic disorders including hydrocephalus, myelomeningocele and other CNS disorders Premature and term infants with respiratory distress/failure Genetic and/or metabolic disorders Sepsis or septic shock Renal disorders, including hydronephrosis, posterior urethral valves, renal failure, and others Coagulation defects Gastrointestinal disorders Major surgical needs Congenital heart disease Facilities: When your baby is ready to leave the NICU, the Neonatal High Risk Follow-up Clinic, evaluates NICU graduates in an outpatient setting. 16-bedded NICU unit equipped and staffed to deliver a full range of tertiary and quaternary care to critically ill neonates; Specially-trained neonatal nurses available for one-on-one patient care Neonatologists, paediatric house officers and neonatal nurse practitioners provide coverage to the unit, including 24-hour inhouse staff neonatology coverage Subspecialists from all paediatric disciplines available on-site for consultation 24 hours a day
